One of the striking feature of the brand is the name itself: Maria London. A modern name that's easy to remember and easy for all to pronounce. Although the brand started in another sector it was bought into the wedding industry by the founder Abdul Aziz.
Maria London came to the Bangladeshi wedding industry after recognising a gap in the market. It saw ageing caterers unable to adapt to the changing landscape while the clientele and the marketplace was shifting towards a more professional and service based paradigm. While other Asian Caterers have produced nationwide brands, the Bangladeshi Caterers have lagged behind considerably, and yet to produce a single professional, nationwide catering brand. These circumstances gave us a purpose and a motivation to challenge the status quo and begin a journey to build a brand that will resonate with the up and coming bride and groom and the wider Bangladeshi community.
Within a year we made a huge impact to the Bangladeshi wedding industry. We introduced new ideas and implemented a professional persona. For the first time there was an option for the professional brides and grooms to hire a brand that understood their needs and requirements.
What's more, we motivated a wave of new and old caterers to make changes and improve their services. We will continue to build our brand until it becomes recognised as the leading Bangladeshi Caterer and Wedding Planner.
